2013 - Uyuni salt flat, Bolivia
Valentine's day with my girlfriend, I struggled to find a rose in the city of Uyuni. Yet I managed, and we left it planted in the middle of the salt flat, the largest worldwide. After the winter is passed, nearby glaciers melt and water streams on top of the white desert, making it into a giant mirror to the blue sky above.
2013 - Leshan, China
The Giant Buddha of Leshan, the biggest worldwide carved in stone with a total height of 71m, and the city in the upper left corner.
2013 - Jodhpur, India
View from the heights of the towering Mehrangarh Fort. It is known as the "blue city" due to the many houses painted in such colour.
2013 - Kawaguchiko, Japan
I was sad when I missed the cherry blossoms week, but rejoiced when found out about this flower festival with "pink moss" (芝桜) at the base of Mt. Fuji - unique colours with unique background.
2013 - Neko Harbour, Antarctica
An underexposed image brings out the glacial blue of Antarctica (and amidst it all, our boat)
2013 - Kathmandu, Nepal
The temple of Boudhanath, a circular stupa around which pilgrims walk by spinning hundreds of praying wheels. It took me two hours to take this picture: the light was shining on this side of the temple, but the pigeons that I was determined to get into the picture were on the other. Luckily, an attendant came sweeping the floor around the stupa, so that I could finally get the birds flying around.

Night view from Mt. Victoria, playing with HK's lights by zooming in while shooting.
2013 - Nikko, Japan
A "tori", typical door made of stone at the entrance of the main Shinto shrine.
2013 - Neko Harbour, Antarctica
Probably the most mesmerizing moment in Antarctica: I was at the prow of our ship, and in front of us the water was covered by thin spots of ice, while the water itself was not calm - it was still. Penguins were jumping out of the water, and that cloud formation left us all speechless. Suddenly, we hear a splash, and a humpback whale comes up breating next to our ship, perfecting the memory.
2013 - Hobbiton, New Zealand
Hobbiton, or for those who do not remember: where the Lord of the Rings started. Might be constructed, and the smaller tree on the hill where Bilbo Baggins is fake - still, it is a magical location, and the Green Dragon pub is fully functional ;)
2013 - Pushkar, India
The holy lake is one of the few bodies of water dedicate to Brahma, the god creator of Hindu religion. Here you find the most common visitors, besides pilgrims - holy cows and hundreds of pigeons.
2013 - Half Moon Island, Antarctica
The tip of a washed up block of ice opposed to a pinnacle of rock in the distance.
2013 - Lemaire Channel, Antarctica
One of the many giant icebergs stuck on the bottom with a mountain covered with snow and ice in the background. As the icebergs break, their centre of gravity changes, so they will float differently, leaving these lines of ice eaten away by the salted water in their previous position.
2013 - Easter Island, Chile
Sunset at Ahu Tahai, watchin the sun set right behind some standing moais
2013 - Emei Shan, China
A little magical corner on the way to Emei Shan, one of China's sacred mountains.
2013 - Easter Island, Chile
Long-exposure in the middle of the night in front of moais. If you look at the light trajectories the stars have left in 30-45 minutes, you can see how the earth rotating on its axis make the stars around the northern and southern pole stars revolve in circles. I had to take this pictures so many times, as a couple of stray dogs kept on playing around me and bump into the tripod.
2013 - Maupiti, French Polynesia
Not a quadrocopter shot like many today - here, I had to walk to the peak of the island!
2015 - Bryce Canyon National Park, US
The deep chasms of Bryce, with the typical hoodoos formed by frost weathering and stream erosion.
2015 - Bryce Canyon National Park, US
One lonely hoodoo, standing by himself looking down at the rock amphitheatre
2015 - Antilope Canyon, US
Sensual curves from the bottom of the canyon, that get smoothed by the rains and the streams that eat the stone away.
2015 - Kanazawa, Japan
The stone lantern of Kenroku-en, one of the three Great Gardens of Japan. Kenroku-en means "garden which combines six characteristics" – the six aspects considered important in the notion of an ideal gardens: spaciousness, serenity, venerability, scenic views, subtle design, and coolness.
